Van Gerwen hits 106 average in win over Bunting, Smith whitewashes Beaton

The first three games of the afternoon session on the final day of the European Darts Trophy have finished with Michael van Gerwen, Daryl Gurney and Michael Smith through.

Van Gerwen started proceedings off in a close clash with Stephen Bunting in which both players threw brilliant darts.
It was a brilliant 106 average from Mighty Mike as he moves through to tonight.
Gurney saw off Matthew Edgar in the second game to set up a tie with MVG.
He won 6-3 with a 92.35 average, 27% on the doubles and 2 maximums thrown.
Finally Smith came through in a whitewash win over Steve Beaton.
It was a clinical display from the St Helens ace who averaged 103.
As per the draw bracket, he will play John Henderson or Dave Chisnall.
