Van Gerwen US Darts Masters

Michael van Gerwen will be back in Las Vegas this week to defend his US Darts Masters title. He defeated Daryl Gurney last year who will be one of those chasing the imperious World Number One.

Van Gerwen spoke ahead of it and admitted that it is another trophy he really wants to get his hands on. For him he is really looking forward to it calling it a special tournament. "Any tournament I'm competing in I want to win and this is another trophy I really want to get my hands on," said Van Gerwen. "The US Masters in Las Vegas is a special tournament to play in - it’s a phenomenal set-up in an amazing place, what more can you ask for as a dart player? "The World Series tournaments are very important for myself and for darts in general – we want to get as many people as possible playing the game all over the world. "It's great for darts that we are getting more players from around the world, as we saw at the World Cup of Darts earlier this year, and this is a great way of getting more and more players from new countries. "It's always fantastic to play in World Series events, they are always top level tournaments in amazing places around the world."
