Michael Van Gerwen rampaged past Richard North whitewashing 'The Mouth of the South' 6-0. He hit a 111 average and will face Gerwyn Price in the Last 16 as he bids for another Euro Tour title.
Daryl Gurney continued his brilliant form by defeating former World Youth Champion Keegan Brown 6-1. Superchin put in a sublime performance with a 97 average to coast past the Needle and will face Ian White tomorrow.
Michael Smith came through against Jamie Lewis in a tremendous match but the 'Bully Boy' was pushed to his limits as he only came through in a last leg decider. Smith averaged 90 to Lewis' 99 and with Lewis missing match darts, Smith punished on D10 to get through to tomorrow.
Simon Whitlock ended the night with a 6-2 victory over the Nordic and Baltic Qualifier Daniel Larsson who looked out of sorts. This was embodied by Larsson's 68 average to Whitlock's 80 and Whitlock will face Nathan Aspinall tomorrow. Whitlock though even said after the game that the board was a disgrace and that especially affected the Swede.
