Van Gerwen wins back-to-back Euro Tour titles as he claims German Darts Grand Prix in Munich

Michael van Gerwen is once again a winner on the European Tour winning his 22nd in total and back-to-back after his triumph in Leverkusen last weekend. There was of course the same runner-up with Peter Wright unable to beat the World Number 1 for the second week running.

It wasn't as close this time out with it ending 8-5 to 'Mighty Mike' compared to the 8-7 result last week. There was a 99.2 average for Van Gerwen in the final who will now take a weekend off and is not competing in the Pro Tour next time out. He will be in Saarbrucken though for the next Euro Tour event in two weeks time.
For Wright it is the case of once again losing out to the World Number One but in a period of the year where he has lacked form, he can take something from two consecutive finals.
