Despite an injured ankle,
Michael van Gerwen did not shy away from showing how good he is during his first round match at the German Darts Masters.
In the seventh leg, "Mighty Mike" threw 107 to take a double break lead. Now a 107 finish in today's darts is not that much, but it is if you do it with two arrows. His first arrow dropped off the board, so Van Gerwen could only finish his trip through triple 19 and bulls-eye and he executed it to perfection!
The 28-year-old World Champion came through the game against Martin Schindler, but had to withdraw before a quarter-final with James Wade due to his injury with it not recovering in time and also more majors on the horizon that he has to be ready for.
