Statistics have been sought for the German Darts Masters 2017 which show that despite the stellar lineup in Dusseldorf only 3 players achieved ton plus averages in the whole tournament with those three being players who reached the final or semi's with Peter Wright the eventual winner topping the standings hitting a 102 average and also having the 10th best in his semi-final win over Raymond van Barneveld.
James Wade is second in his last 16 victory over Kevin Munch which shows 'The Machine' to be back to somewhere near his best and he was only taken out by Phil Taylor who came runner up in the tournament and averaged the 3rd best in his Quarter-Final victory over Daryl Gurney.
Michael van Gerwen despite being injured still appears in the top ten by virtue of his win over Martin Schindler achieving a 96.83 average and other notable players in the top ten include Daryl Gurney, Mensur Suljovic and Kyle Anderson
