For the Aldershot ace though it won't matter with him moving back up into third in the standings and continuing his excellent form as of late as a result.
He started the contest off well with back to back finishes of 61 and 73 to hand him a 2-0 lead over 'The Iceman'.
Wade stretched his lead to 3-0 with 60 percent on the doubles to hand himself the advantage in the early going.
Price started the next leg with six perfect darts and finished it off with a 11 darter to trail 3-1. Wade though restored a three-leg cushion meaning the Welshman's resurgence wasn't going to effect him.
Wade continued on to make it 5-2 despite Price being visibly annoyed by something on stage and despite him pegging a leg back, it was Wade who went to within one of a guaranteed point at 6-3 ahead hammering in a 122 checkout on the bull.
He then went one away by hitting a 12 darter which guaranteed himself a point and he finished it off to add another two points to his tally.
