It was finally some fortune for the multiple major winner with brilliant 122 and 76 checkouts by Wade to claim a set back as he looked to be turning the screw. 'The Needle' though didn't allow that to happen with him going one away from dumping another seed out with a 117 checkout to start. He then took advantage of missed doubles to go two-up before pinning double eight for a 3-1 lead. Wade himself took advantage of missed doubles in the next set with a clean sweep as he made sure he kept pace with Brown. Brown went two-one up in the next set meaning that Wade had to break to avoid the loss. He did hitting a 72 checkout to silence the crowd and go into a deciding set with the throw. for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
