Once this session is complete, there will be just 20 players left in the 2019 PDC World Championship.

The third round is close to completion, meaning the path to glory gets shorter by the moment. Adrian Lewis has walked that path a couple of times, but it's been a while now. The two-time PDC world champion could be on the march again. Should he win this one, he would have to play odds-on World Championship favourite Michael van Gerwen. But that's not accounting for Darius Labanauskas, the . Lewis , but make no mistake, Jackpot is fallible. This could be a seminal moment for Labanauskas and Lithuanian darts. Nathan Aspinall's enjoying a stunning rise of his own. A player who we have known to have potential for a long while, the Asp announced himself in style with a stunning win over Gerwyn Price. It means that he's three steps from the semi-finals, in an incredibly open section of the draw. That also plays into the hands of Kyle Anderson. While the likes of Aspinall have been making big headlines, Anderson very calmly . The Original has a big chance here, and he's good enough to grasp it - unless Aspinall strikes again.

History repeats itself?

Rob Cross, without doing much of anything, suddenly has a great chance to retain his PDC World Championship title. Not many gave him a chance before the tournament - but he's been there before. Now Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price, Mensur Suljovic, Ian White, Joe Cullen and Jonny Clayton have all disappeared from his half of the draw. The last thing Cross needs after a tricky win over Jeffrey de Zwaan on the opening night of the tournament is a banana skin of his own.
Unfortunately, he has one. Cristo Reyes thumped Voltage in the Players Championship Finals, and the Iberian ace knows how to win against the world number two. Reyes came mightily close to losing against Rowby-John Rodriguez, but now he's through that the Spartan may look at the draw and feel like a run is in order. Only one of these players can lead us into the Christmas break and be back again once play resumes on Thursday.
