Peter Wright has had a great year with his biggest triumph being the UK Open title where he defeated Gerwyn Price in the final. He also missed out on the Premier League which he should of won and has also picked up
European Darts Grand Prix,
PDC European Darts Open, PDC German Darts Championship, three UK Open Qualifiers and a Players Championship in Milton Keynes.
One more would make him part of the illustrious club which includes Phil Taylor, John Part and Michael van Gerwen and he has an opportunity to do that at the Champions League of Darts this weekend and he spoke about potentially achieving this ahead of this weekends' tournament in Cardiff.
"Winning nine tournaments is fantastic," he reflected.
"Some players one win one tournament a year, so to win nine and with plenty more to go - and going back to my old darts that I feel more comfortable with - I want to pass that number ten and hopefully become one of those legends of darts who have actually got over ten tournaments in a year, like Michael, Phil, John Part "To join that elite club of winning ten tournaments or more in a year, I'd be pretty honoured."
