Simon Whitlock and James Wade completed the quarter finals line up at the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen.
Whitlock won 4 legs on the trot against Mensur Suljovic to produce yet another comeback win today.
The pair traded legs to be level at 2 a piece in the early stages before Suljovic opened up a 4-2 lead.
But he couldn’t hold off the Wizard, as he booked his spot in this evenings final session.
The final man into the evening session is James Wade. The machine averaged 100 and hit 6/11 on the doubles as he followed Micheal Smith and Dave Chisnall into the quarter finals.
Wade is in contention for a World Cup spot with the man he defeated, Rob Cross. And after Smith and Chisnall both won, this was much needed for Wade to stay in contention.
Wade lead 3-1 and 4-2, but only got over the line in the decider. Putting and end to Cross’ fight back, and setting up a clash with Whitlock later this evening.
