Whitlock wins battle of the Aussies, Gurney sees off Thornton in comfortable win

Whitlock would have been having flashbacks of his loss to Gerwyn Price at the Grand Slam with the Wizard going 5-1 up only for Anderson to mount a comeback. Despite that though he could only peg it back to 5-4 with the former European Champion finally getting over the line 6-4. He averaged 92 with forty six percent on the doubles throughout proceedings.
