'That win was for my girlfriend and my little girl' - Nathan Aspinall after victory over Wade

Nathan Aspinall has had a very busy week starting off with the birth of his daughter this past Monday before returning to Players Championship action on the Wednesday embodying the phrase the show must go on and now he has started the last Euro Tour weekend by defeating James Wade to end the Aldershot ace's chances of being in Hasselt in a few weeks for the European Championship.
The former World Youth runner up didn't give James Wade a sniff for most of it hitting finishes of 118, 84 and 82 in the process and spoke after the game about his first round win and also the birth of his new daughter.
"It was a very tough first round game but James didn't play like he can. I played my game and hit quite a few 180s at the right time, and I'm very happy with the win.
"My girlfriend gave birth to my little one on Monday so it's been an emotional week, and this tops it off. I'm very happy - that win was for my girlfriend and my little girl."

- It seems odd that at the World Championship they have dancing ladies in hot pants and pom poms and yet the walk on ladies who were much more elegantly attired get removed from the scene. I met Daniella at Silverstone when she was a grid girl in the F1 race and was very pleasant indeed.
