The Day 2 of the World Grand Prix 2017 is here after a thrilling opening night in Dublin in the double in double out tournament that always throws up plenty of shocks and brilliant darts.
Tonight the main players that are on show include recent Champions League of Darts and Pro Tour winner Mensur Suljovic who if he can past a tricky test in Ian White will be up with the favourites.
Gary Anderson despite the schedule saying otherwise is not playing and will be replaced by 'Spider' Mark Webster after the imminent birth of Anderson's partner Rachel's second child with the Flying Scotsman and so Webster who was next in the Order of Merit will play Richard North in a big opportunity for both men.
Peter Wright one of the favourites will finish night 2 against a finalist on the Pro Tour at the weekend who looked to be in resurgent form in Stephen Bunting!

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
