The World Grand Prix field has been confirmed after the cut off point was reached at this past weekend’s International Darts Open in Riesa.

There will be a total of nine debutants at the CityWest with Jonny Clayton, Max Hopp, Jermaine Wattimena, Steve Lennon and Ricky Evans. Danny Noppert, Josh Payne, Jeffrey de Zwaan and Ron Meulenkamp will also making their first appearance at the World Grand Prix.
The seeds will be headed by Michael van Gerwen. He will be hoping to bounce back from his disappointing loss to John Henderson twelve months ago. Daryl Gurney and Simon Whitlock, the champion and runner-up from last year, will be back as seeds once again.
Dave Chisnall is the final seed in eighth; as well 8 more players have qualified through the Order of Merit.
These include Michael Smith, James Wade and Adrian Lewis. It is a stacked line up for the double start competition which gets underway in the next few weeks.
The PDC's third longest-running televised event will be staged at Dublin's Citywest Hotel from September 30-October 6.
