Vienna will host the World Series of Darts Finals in November as opposed to Glasgow; and as usual, the top eight in the World Series Order of Merit will play. The PDC announced earlier this month that this event will move to Amsterdam in 2019.
Those start with Peter Wright as number one seed with Simon Whitlock, the number eight seed. The top four players who are not qualified following the World Grand Prix will also play and those are provisionally Daryl Gurney, Dave Chisnall, James Wade and Ian White.
The major change comes with the international qualifiers. This has been taken out with them coming from players who have played on the World Series this year.
This means that the likes of Corey Cadby, Gerwyn Price, Dimitri van den Bergh and Kyle Anderson; alongside Australian aces Raymond Smith and Damon Heta and finally Dawson Murschell and Jamie Lewis will take their place in the line up.
As usual the line up will be finalised with four players from a Tour Card holders qualifier later this year.
