Wright edges past Whitlock, will face White in second semi-final at Dutch Darts Championship

The semi-final line up at the Dutch Darts Championship is confirmed with Peter Wright and Ian White set to face off in the second semi-final.
Wright saw off Simon Whitlock with a 6-4 victory with four 180’s and a 100.5 average as he maintained his status as the favourite this weekend.
He could have a real task on his hands in the form of Ian White. ‘Diamond’ has been one of the stand out players this year and smashed Adrian Lewis 6-1.
White hit a 99 average with 50% on the doubles as he won in the battle of Stoke’s best.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
