Wright win means five different winners from five events in 2018 World Series so far

Peter Wright claimed a first win on the World Series for 2018 after previously being crowned the German Darts Master last year. As a result he has continued a stat of a new winner in every World Series so far in 2018.

Mensur Suljovic started this by winning a second TV title of his career and a maiden World Series in Gelsenkirchen defeating Dimitri van den Bergh in the final. The roadshow then went to Las Vegas with Gary Anderson the King of the Desert followed by his protege Michael Smith winning in Shanghai. Auckland went the way of Michael van Gerwen. Many would feel this was a long time coming with MVG not at his best since the Premier League Final. He couldn’t complete the double though as Peter Wright joined the list defeating him on the way.
