With the Grand Slam of Darts qualifier set to take place later today, the final two main PDC Qualifier spots outright have been confirmed with Danny Noppert and Ian White taking their place.
Noppert did so by reaching the final of the World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam last night; so will be involved without having to travel to Wigan.
White has qualified ahead of Mensur Suljovic who was next in line; due to the fact he has won more European Tour titles this season.
Suljovic made the error as a result of not entering today’s qualifier in Wigan; which means his chances of being involved at Aldersley Leisure Village are gone.
All of this has raised the debate about the qualification criteria with many complaints being given by players about certain inclusions into the tournament. Despite that though, there will be eight places up for grabs later today in Wigan to complete the line-up.
