Burnett claims victory on Day Two of MODUS Online Live League Week 1

Richie Burnett has claimed victory on the second day of action during Phase Two Week One of the MODUS Online Live League but is still behind Martin Adams who holds the overall advantage.

Adams leads with 14 points but Burnett added eight points to his total today with four wins over Kevin Burness (4-3), Martin Adams (4-3), Robert Thornton (4-1) and James Richardson (4-3).

His only defeat came against Arron Monk 4-3 in his final game of the day. For Richardson and Monk, they finished second today with six points each.

While for Martin Adams and Robert Thornton, they added two points each today with Kevin Burness propping up the field with two.

Each player plays once a day against these players until Wednesday and the winner of this group involving the aforementioned players will move through to the final group on Saturday.

The numbers two and three will play a new group with three new players on Thursday and Friday evening. While the fourth, five and sixth ranked players will return with new players on Thursday and Friday afternoon.

From these, the two best players in each group move through as per the previous format.

The top three from the first four Saturday nights make up the 12 for this Champions Week.

Unlike the first edition of the Modus League in 2020, the game will not be played online via a webcam, but at a location in Southampton, England. The matches can be followed via the Online Darts YouTube channel .
