2020 PDC Challenge Tour 1 Update: Menzies, Portela and Norris all through to Last 32

Menzies who came so close to gaining a Tour Card on the Challenge Tour last year but had a poor final weekend is starting off well again.

The Scotsman has only dropped two legs all day so far and will face Chris Quantock in the Last 32 with his best of the day coming against Shaun Matthews in the Last 128 where he averaged 102.

Portela has had a tough day draw wise and has come up against Vincent Kamphuis, Boris Koltsov and Dean Reynolds en route.

Norris is acclimatising to life away from the ProTour but as well has started well and despite coming through some close ties is through to the latter stages.

As are the likes of Kyle McKinstry who's exploits on the Challenge Tour last year gained him a UK Open spot, Ryan Hogarth who averaged 101 in edging out Keane Barry in his latest game and Gordon Mathers with the Aussie ace averaging around 96 all day with a best of 101 in seeing off Jamie Kelling to reach this point.
