Adams began his campaign by defeating Boris Koltsov (5-2) in the opening match of the day inflicting up to this point the Russian's only defeat.

He continued his strong start by seeing off debutant Mark Dudbridge 5-3 with a 96.7 average and 5/6 on the doubles. Then he defeated Diogo Portela 5-2 with a 97 average to stretch his lead at the top of the table.

Like alluded to Koltsov has only one defeat, he is currently second also on six points albeit having played more matches but he has also played well so far today and will look to contend for the opening group win.

Mark Dudbridge is third claiming his first win after two defeats with a 141 checkout to defeat Jose Justicia 5-0 in the end.
