Adrian Lewis & Raymond van Barneveld
Former world champions Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld faced off on Saturday night at an exhibition tournament in the English city of Birmingham.
It was by now a get-together between two darting granddads. Both have been around the circuit for a very long time, and after Van Barneveld first became a grandfather in 2015, 41-year-old Lewis welcomed his first grandchild this week.
Lewis didn’t come down from that pink cloud, as “Jackpot” beat his old rival 7-2 and posted a fine 99 average in the match. Lewis also played another tie against Robert Owen and won that one 3-1.
Barney also took to the oche in another match and did win that encounter. The 58-year-old from The Hague edged out Jonny Clayton 3-2. The latter did claim a 4-0 win over Owen.
