Anderson on verge of first PDC ranking title in three years after Price win, set to face Ross Smith in Players Championship 5 Final

The final of Players Championship 5 is set and it will see Gary Anderson face off against Ross Smith shortly in Barnsley.

Anderson last sealed a ranking title back in 2020 winning a ProTour at the start of the season but after a resurgent start to 2023 is on the verge of breaking that duck.

He faces Ross Smith in the final after seeing off Gerwyn Price in a 7-5 triumph, while for the European Champion, he ended the run of Martin Schindler.

Schindler sailed ahead after Smith initially took the lead but missed match darts and 'Smudger' found his way over the line to contest today's final.
