Anderson setting 2021 target despite claiming Quarter-Final spot: "I'll start from scratch and get myself back to it"

Gary Anderson won through in a straight sets victory over Devon Petersen to reach the Quarter-Finals of the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship.

But despite that, he has been writing off his chances admitting next year is big for him and a chance for his revival in an interview which also saw him hit out at Wayne Mardle and Rod Harrington.

"Devon's scoring wasn't where it has been this year and I nicked it," said Anderson.

"I'm nowhere near where I should be playing but next year I'll start from scratch and get myself back to it.

"I've managed to scrape through like I did when I got to the World Matchplay final. This run is a real bonus for me."
