Andy Boulton defeats Order of Merit leader Danny Jansen to claim PDC Challenge Tour 8

Andy Boulton is the latest victor this weekend at PDC Challenge Tour 8 with the Scot defeating Challenge Tour leader, Danny Jansen and averaging 101 in the process in a whitewash win.

Jansen who extends his lead in reaching another final ahead of Aden Kirk was defeated 5-0 after defeating Grant Brown and Patrick peters in the latter stages. While for Boulton, it was Thomas Lovely and Shane McGuirk before defeating Jansen. It moves Boulton up to fifth.

Boulton was one of the forerunners on last year's Challenge Tour, but he failed to claim his return to the tour either through that route only narrowly or Q-School. There is one more tournament today and a further tournament on Sunday with Noa-Lynn van Leuven and Rene Eidams victors yesterday.

On this tour, starting spots for the 2024 Pro Tour and Tour Cards for 2025 and 2026 can be earned. The highest-ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit are eligible for reserve spots on the Players Championships.

The number one and two on the Challenge Tour rankings will be offered a PDC Tour Card at the end of the season for the following two seasons. In addition, they may also participate in the World Darts Championship.
