"As I am there now I may as well stay there!": Luke Litter focuses on remaining top of Premier League Darts standings

Luke Littler's focus remains on one thing and that is making the Playoffs at the O2 albeit he is currently on course to break the Premier League Darts points record as another week goes by in Newcastle.
Littler will face Bunting who has had an abysmal Premier League Darts campaign thus far and is still chasing his first points of the season something that is alien of course to Littler.
'The Nuke' who last week admitted he wasn't going to pick up his darts in between weeks after not playing at the weekend in Gottingen. But while he is on top, he said he is now chasing a bonus.

Something that he said he wasn't chasing at the start of the campaign or his rampant title win last season with Littler in even better form this time around.
“I just want to get to The O2 as quickly as possible, and I have put myself in a really good position,” admitted Littler.
“I said last year I didn’t care about finishing top, but as I am there now I may as well stay here!
“The nine-darter was an amazing moment last week, but then it was all about staying focused and getting over the line.
“There are still nine weeks to go and every player is capable of picking up nightly wins, but it would be great to beat the record points and break records for myself.”

- obviously littler has the potential to surpass everybody simply because nobody has been this good at this age before, but people who think he would be any kind of favourite right now against prime taylor in a big final have short memories. it's obvious that prime taylor wouldn't win as many world titles if he was playing today, but there's also good reason to believe he'd be winning more than anybody else. hell, his statistical profile still stands alone in darts history and he might statistically be even better if he was playing today with better equipment, larger beds, more competition therefore more motivation, etc.colt24-03-2025
