Nathan Aspinall has marked a successful Masters debut by easing past James Wade in a 10-4 win.

It was very much a game of missed doubles and missed opportunities especially for Wade who missed 22 darts at doubles overall.
The first two legs were shared but Wade punished darts from a Aspinall to take a 2-1 lead in the early going.
Aspinall nudged in front though at the interval with ‘The Asp’ just edging it on the doubles with 3/16 compared to 2/13.
He hit the first 180 of the match and cleaned up 96 to go 4-2 up. Despite that Wade wasn’t done as more missed doubles dictated play and he made it 4-4 with a break of throw.
Aspinall regained the lead though claiming a break and heading into the break at 6-4 up with Wade struggling on just 18 percent on the doubles.
Wade missed the big 12 on 81 and Aspinall handed himself a break of throw which proved to be pivotal.
He was soon one away and concluded the tie to wade through his opening tie.
