Details have been confirmed on Associate Member qualifiers set to take place for the
European Tour during the opening weekend of the
Challenge Tour set to take place next month.
With these tournaments being split into UK and Europe this year, these qualifiers will also be split with three qualifying events set to be staged on Monday July 5 (Niedernhausen) and Monday August 9 (Milton Keynes).
One player from each qualifier will progress to play in the European Tour events which will be confirmed in due course when finalised and are done to fulfill the two places usually reserved for an Associate Member Qualifier prior to the European Tour.
This will cut out further travel to the venue and allow players involved in the Challenge Tour to extend their weekend to qualify for future events.
It will be alongside three qualifying events on Friday July 9 following the completion of PDC Super Series 5 in Coventry next week which will compile the Tour Card holder field.
While Nordic and Baltic qualifiers will be carried over meaning for Johan Engstrom, Andreas Harrysson and Dennis Nilsson, the trio will return to the European Tour after winning through qualifiers for events which weren't staged at the time.
