Beeney ahead of TV debut against Ashton: "There are very few others I would love to share this moment in my life with"

Aaron Beeney will make his TV debut on Friday afternoon against Lisa Ashton in the opening round of the UK Open.

Beeney won his Tour Card last year and discussed on his social media how him and Ashton became friends when they both joined the PDC Tour so he is pleased to share his debut with her.

"I'm buzzing to make my televised debut at the UK Open, third up on the main stage. The dream just keeps on coming. I absolutely adored practicing with Lisa at the start of my Tour Card term last year. Us two newbies buddied up and had some great laughs," said Beeney on Twitter.

"She was one of the first to congratulate me when I started getting wins and has always been so positive and supportive. In the best way possible I couldn't be happier to have my first televised match with someone I genuinely adore on the Tour."

"There are very few others I would love to share this moment in my life with. I just hope I can show a game that can give us both a good show or she will batter me!"
