Beveridge adds to PDC Challenge Tour title tally with Event One win over Thomas

For some time Darren Beveridge has been seen as one of the best players not to have a PDC Tour Card and he has lived up to that moniker in the first event of the PDC UK Challenge Tour.

Beveridge saw off Martin Thomas in the final despite averaging five less points average wise with a 5-2 victory for 'Ice Cold' in the end.

This came after latter stages wins over over Conan Whitehead (5-4) and Keelan Kay (5-4) in a high quality line-up to end the first event of the UK edition of the Challenge Tour.

But it is the Scot who adds to his 2019 triumph with victory in the first of 2021 with another tournament to come to end the opening day.
