He first became world champion at 17, but since early last week Luke Littler has officially reached the landmark age of 18. Unlike many Brits turning 18 though, "The Nuke" didn't celebrate with a trip to his local PopWorld.

Showing great maturity, Littler enjoyed a small celebration, keeping his focus on the upcoming darts tournaments. "Yeah, it was good. Went bowling with a few of my friends. Didn't play the best, but it was just good to get out and celebrate," Littler explained to Online Darts.

Before he went bowling, Littler also enjoyed a nice meal. Rather than the kebab takeaway he became known for during the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship though, this time it was a traditional chippy tea. "Yeah, it was weird obviously," he says of his dad's choice of meal. "Surely they know that I'm going to go out, but obviously before that I was on TikTok playing my FIFA in front of like 4,000 people. So obviously they thought I was staying in for the night, but unlucky for them, I went out."

Littler was in action last weekend at the Dutch Darts Masters, the second tournament of the 2025 World Series of Darts. In his first tournament as an 18-year-old, he went down 7-6 in the semifinals against Stephen Bunting, despite posting an average of over 107.

This week, another trophy is on offer as Littler is competing at the Winmau World Masters, the first PDC major of the new season. As the darts continue to come thick and fast at this early point of the season, just a week later, the world number two begins his Premier League Darts title defense.
