Brody Klinge takes a big step toward a World Championship spot with two tournament wins on the Australian Tour

Brody Klinge enjoyed an excellent weekend on the Australian Darts Association (ADA) Tour. The Australian captured two tournament titles during the fifth and penultimate weekend of the season, taking over the lead in the rankings. As a result, he is firmly on course to qualify for the PDC World Darts Championship 2027 at Alexandra Palace.

From August 7 to 9, Events 17 through 20 took place in Kingswood. Klinge produced an almost perfect weekend by sealing his seventh and eighth titles of the season.
Klinge opens weekend with narrow final victory
His first success came at Event 17, where he edged out Joe Comito 6-5 in a thrilling final. The Melbourne thrower was in superb form throughout the tournament and posted two averages over 100 along the way. His best display came in the last 16, where he defeated Puna Ben with an impressive 105.07 average.
After wins over Stuart Coburn (6-4) and Bailey Marsh, whom he whitewashed 6-0 in the semi-finals, Klinge also prevailed in the final. With a 98.21 average, he settled the clash with Comito only in the deciding leg.
Klinge then closed out the weekend with another title by also winning Event 20. In the final of the tournament, which was played in a set format, he convincingly beat Tim Pusey 2-0.
The ANZ Premier League star dropped just one set all event, in his opener against Carl Caton. He then rattled off five straight 2-0 wins in sets. Along the way he again took care of Stuart Coburn and Joe Comito, before Pusey also had no answer to his strong game in the final.

Tim Pusey claims fourth title in six tournaments
Although Pusey lost the final of Event 20, he also had an excellent weekend. On Saturday, the 33-year-old won Event 18, securing his fourth title in the last six ADA events and further cementing third place in the rankings.
Pusey started with a convincing win over David Boyle and then battled through three hard-fought victories to reach the semi-finals. There he knocked out the then No. 1 in the rankings, Raymond Smith, after a deciding last leg. He then defeated Joe Comito in the final to claim another tournament win.
Event 19 delivered a first for Michael Bajowski, who captured his maiden title on the ADA Tour. In the final he beat Jeremy Fagg 6-4.
Bajowski had earlier eliminated Tim Pusey 6-2 in the quarter-finals and survived multiple match darts against Brody Klinge in the semi-finals before edging it 6-5. In the final he turned a deficit around by winning the last three legs in a row.

Standings in the World Championship race
Thanks to his two tournament wins, Brody Klinge now leads the ADA Tour rankings convincingly. Raymond Smith has slipped to second and now faces a deficit of nearly $2,000. Tim Pusey sits third, with Joe Comito completing the top four. On the back of his first title of the season, Michael Bajowski moves up to fifth.
Four tournaments remain on the calendar. They will be played from September 11 to 13 in Elizabeth North, hosting Events 21 through 24. The winner of the overall standings earns a coveted ticket to the PDC World Darts Championship 2026/27 at Alexandra Palace.

- I just think Aspinall loves the razzmatazz rather than real darts, goes on about his walk on and the premier league, loves exhibitions and proposed a 'royal rumble' and i'm not sure if it was him that suggested a Ryder Cup style tournament? I think they do need to look at how the ranking tournaments are treated, the UK Open, Euro Championships, Players' Championship all shoe-horned into four or so days rather than lasting all week and giving more players a chance to be on the big stage.Baphomet03-08-2026
- I play at home against myself, sometimes on Dartcounter, never played league or county. My best average on 501 was 107 which I hit last year. Today I was averaging 94 on a few games of 501, no warm up, just a quick chuck after dinner. I imagine it's a bit different up on stage. - Indeed I've been to Dublin on numerous occasion the atmosphere was electric and the crowd were always pumped plus the City West was a cool venue. It was a good week away The double start and finish is different and actually very enjoyable but a week in a nothing happening crime riddled city in a soulless stadium does not appeal.
