Stephen Bunting believes that his best is set to return in the coming months and that his confidence is up there again.
Speaking to the Good Darts podcast, Bunting has been in good form in the past year after a tumultuous period which nearly saw him quit the sport.
“I believe that there’s a title coming soon and hopefully I can prove that and improve on being in the top 16 and further. I’ve got that confidence and swagger back.”
"I've found lockdown quite difficult to be fair. The missus has been off work as well, at least I've had some time with the family."
“It is what it is but I just can’t wait to get back into the full swing of things and back on tour. I’m looking forward to seeing my mates I haven’t seen for a while.
He has also spoke about practising with Kai Fan Leung who before lockdown had moved to Liverpool after gaining his Tour Card and 'The Bullet' was full of praise for the Hong Kong ace.
“I’ve been practising with Kai Fan Leung but with lockdown restrictions it’s been really difficult. I’ve been face timing him more than anyone to see how he’s doing.
“Kai is very dangerous. I’ve known him for quite a while now and since he moved to Liverpool it benefitted both of us. He’s such a nice lad as well. Nothing seems to faze him. He’s got that sort of confidence about him. He’s always smiling.”
