Stephen Bunting has left the Nevada Sports Management stable after 7 and a half 'great' years, he announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Bunting was part of the management stable which also includes the likes of Rob Cross, Ricky Evans, Mikuru Suzuki and Leighton Bennett.

He spoke of his thanks in a statement on Facebook; but that the Coronavirus pandemic has given him the time to think and he will now manage himself going forward.

"I would like to thank Jon Archer and Jacqui Moore who helped me fulfil my greatest ever achievement in darts to date becoming World Champion," he said.

"We have had lots of fun and laughs throughout this time together and our friendship will continue to flourish.

Over the last few months due to the coronavirus. It has given me time to think about my future and I felt that the time was now right to give it a go and manage myself.

I put this to Jon and he agreed and has kindly offered support and advice if I need it. I would like to wish Jon, Jacqui and all involved with Nevada all the very best for the future."
