Dave Chisnall claimed victory last weekend at the Danish Darts Open seeing off Chris Dobey in the final.
Now as a result of that, ‘Chizzy’ is confident of potentially having a run at the
World Matchplay which begins in just under a month.
He said he knows he can win anything and that he’s been confident for most of the year so far.
The St Helens ace added though that he doesn’t want to draw Dobey in Blackpool.
"I'm very confident at the moment and I have been since half-way through last year," said Chisnall, who averaged just under 99 across the weekend, hitting almost half his attempts at double.
"I thought I had a great chance at the Worlds until I ran into Gary Anderson, but over the last couple of years I've been missing too many doubles at crucial times.
"But last weekend I delivered, I showed my doubles are going in now, so I know I can beat anyone and win anything.
"I got a bit lucky with a few last dart checkouts but you need a bit of luck to win tournaments - that's darts.
"Chris is a class player so it's a great result to beat him in a final. I certainly hope I don't get drawn against him in Blackpool!"
