Chisnall final player through to Last 32 at UK Open with victory over Wright

Dave Chisnall is the final player into the draw for the Last 32 at the UK Open after seeing off Peter Wright in a 10-5 victory.

Chisnall averaged 100 and hit six 180's on the way to seeing off 'Snakebite' as he aims to continue his good form this weekend.

Chisnall was in command in the early stages and went into a three leg lead at 4-1 up and looked good against the former World Champion.

But at the next interval, it was sat at 6-4 with Wright starting to get into the tie and claiming a much needed break of throw.

But it soon looked to revert as Wright had a dart to hold but missed off the back of a 66 checkout at double 20 and Chisnall replied on double four for a 7-4 lead and a break back.

A 73 checkout albeit a 29 darter from Chisnall saw him go 8-4 up and further towards the finishing line with a hold.

A hold of throw kept Wright in it but he needed to break the Chisnall throw. A 174 left 32 for Chisnall though which he pinned to go one away at 9-5.

A 21 score from Wright was a slip on his throw but he missed double 19 for a 155 checkout. This allowed Chisnall back for a 96 checkout and the victory.
