Chisnall recovers to down Gurney in European Tour epic, Rodriguez punishes below-par Smith

The afternoon session is complete on Day Two at the Czech Darts Open with Dave Chisnall and Rowby-John Rodriguez through to the final day in Prague.

Chisnall recovered from 5-3 down against Daryl Gurney in a European Tour epic which was sealed in a decider by the St Helens ace.

The quality of the tie was underlined with both averaging around the 103 mark and hitting nine 180's between them but it was 'Chizzy' who edged through in the end.

He was joined by Rodriguez who punished a below-par Michael Smith who goes from having one of the best weeks of the year to going down with a whimper.

Losing out 6-4, it was only a 91 average in defeat with his doubling percentage sat at 23.5% despite a 170 during the tie. While for the Austrian ace, it was a 94 average, three `180's and slightly better on the doubles at 6/16.
