Chisnall whitewashes Wenig with 108 average, King boosts World Grand Prix hopes with victory over Wattimena

The action has began on the second day of the German Darts Championship with victories for Dave Chisnall and Mervyn King.

Chisnall had a torrid time at the World Series of Darts Finals last weekend but returned with a superb display to see off home hope Lukas Wenig.

He hit an average of 108.6 with three 180’s and 55% on the doubles in a 6-0 whitewash against the Host Nation Qualifier who has seen off Cody Harris who vanquished him last weekend.

Mervyn King is also through and furthers his World Grand Prix hopes before the cutoff by seeing off Jermaine Wattimena.

He hit checkouts of 124 and 170 en route to a 6-2 win which also included a 103 average and 66% on the doubles. A very good weekend has just got better for ‘The King’.
