Chris Dobey fires highest average at Players Championship 7

The seventh Players Championship of the year was won by Chris Dobey. 'Hollywood' defeated Josh Rock 8-4 in the final.

Dobey also had the highest average of the day. The 33-year-old Englishman outlasted Ross Smith 7-3 in the semifinals, averaging 109.63.

The second highest average was for Ricardo Pietreczko. The 29-year-old German started the day excellently with a 6-0 victory in the first round against Adam Gawlas, achieving 108.65 average. 'Pikachu' eventually stranded one round later after a 6-4 defeat against Gawlas' compatriot Karel Sedlacek.

The top three is completed by Rock. So although he failed to win the final, he also achieved his best average in his opening match when he defeated Darren Beveridge 6-1, posting an average of 107.97.
