Clayton eases past Anderson in terrific display to restart Premier League Darts

Jonny Clayton has restarted the Premier League Darts action with a terrific win to bring the fans back into the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes seeing off Gary Anderson 8-1.

This was with a 101.2 average, three 180's and 57% on the doubles as he defied a 104 average from 'The Flying Scotsman'.

To begin the tie, Anderson fired in two 180's but it was Clayton who claimed the opening leg with a 66 checkout.

A third 180 and double eight from Anderson saw him square it up at 1-1. Clayton though broke throw after Anderson missed a dart at double 20 and went into the ascendancy at 3-1 up.

Clayton moved further ahead from there and made it four legs on the spin at 5-1 up before consolidating that with a hold to go 6-1 up.

A showpiece saw him head towards the finish with a 124 checkout on the bull to go 7-1 up. Before he completed the feat with a 25 checkout on double eight after Anderson missed double 20 to stay alive in the tie.
