Clayton swept aside Callan Rydz in straight sets with a 95 average and a 170 checkout the highlight in an impressive display from 'The Ferret'.
To begin the tie, Clayton successfully got in front with a hold of throw and wrapped up the opener with ease 3-1 with a 72 checkout.
To start the second set, he smashed in a 170 checkout and his average went south of 95 as he took the game to 'The Riot'. This saw him en route to completing the feat 3-0 in a superb display.
While Darius Labanauskas impressed in a 2-1 victory over 2011 runner-up Brendan Dolan as he held his nerve for a superb final set in a great debut for 'Lucky D'.
To open the tie, Dolan produced two 140's en route to a break of throw with an 89 checkout in a great start for 'The History Maker'.
He got off first time on his throw with a 134 to leave 110. With Labanauskas not close to any sort of finish, this allowed Dolan to miss 116 and he returned again for double eight to lead 2-0.

Labanauskas kept in the set though having two opportunities with Dolan not able to make a dent in 161 and he hit double two.
Dolan missed bull for a 124 but didn't return with Labanauskas slamming in a 156 on double 18 to force a decider where he'd have a throw.
A 51 checkout saw Labanauskas turn it around and seal it from there.
Dolan produced an 88 checkout on double 14 to begin the second set. Labanauskas missed 121 on the bull and this allowed Dolan a sweep to win the set 3-0.
This forced a decider with Labanauskas striking first despite initially spurning chances handing the initiative back to Dolan.
Labanauskas pinned a 73 checkout to go one away and break going one away and he sealed it from there hitting double 16.
