Wales won the
World Cup of Darts last weekend by beating Scotland 10-2 in the final. For
Jonny Clayton, it was his second World Cup win.
"Definitely it's at the top of my achievement list," ther former Premier League champion and World Grand Prix winner tells Sky Sports. "To win any tournament is fantastic. But to play in a pairs that you've got to work hard with your teammate and only throw 25% of the time, to win a competition like that, and in the Welsh jersey it has to be high on my list."
As mentioned, this is the second time Clayton has lifted the World Cup of Darts alongside Gerwyn Price and it was their third final in four years. 'The Ferret' has the World Cup of Darts record in his sights.
"Adrian Lewis and Phil Taylor have four I think," Clayton continues. "It would be nice to pass them two. But who knows, the darts are in a great place. There's brilliant teams out there. It's going to be difficult but we'll try our best. Hopefully we can be the kings."
