The PDC Nordic & Baltic Tour produced two different winners in Riga last weekend. Denmark’s Jonas Sørensen delivered a notable first on Saturday, while Cor Dekker strengthened his lead in the rankings a day later.
In the third tournament of the season, Sørensen made an immediate impression. On his debut, the Dane went straight to the final and showed he had plenty of scoring power.
On the way to the decider, he convincingly took care of fellow countryman Jonas Graversen, before meeting leader Dekker in the final. In that clash, the difference on the doubles proved decisive.
While Dekker missed multiple chances on the outer ring, Sørensen struck at the crucial moments. A 122 checkout helped him pull away and extend his lead. He eventually closed it out convincingly to take the title on debut. For established names like Darius Labanauskas and Marko Kantele, the tournament ended in disappointment as they exited early.

Dekker bounces back emphatically

A day later the picture flipped completely. Sørensen could not back up his strong display and fell early in the fourth tournament. That opened the door for Dekker to strike again.
The Dutchman, representing Norway, seized that role convincingly. With solid averages and steady scoring, he moved through to the final without too much trouble.
There he met another familiar name in Jani Haavisto. The Finn had also battled impressively to the decider but could not make inroads against Dekker’s consistent game.
Dekker pulled clear early and raced into a commanding lead. A 66 checkout and several strong 16-dart-or-better legs kept him firmly in control. Haavisto had chances to respond but failed to take them, allowing Dekker to close it out professionally and add another PDCNB title to his name.
