Rob Cross is set to face Damon Heta in the final of the Brisbane Darts Masters after easing past Daryl Gurney in a quality performance from 'Voltage' who remains on course for back-to-back titles in the event.

Cross won 8-3 against Gurney who had no resistance in a performance that included a 105 average, five 180's and a 170 checkout.
Cross started brilliantly doubling his lead in quick time with a 70 checkout and continued this by hitting the 170 checkout also known as the 'Big Fish' to send the crowd into raptures and to put him into a 3-1 lead.
From there he added a break of throw to strengthen his grip on proceedings at 4-1 up and at the break was sitting pretty with a 5-1 lead and a 104 average.
Gurney added a leg on his return but Cross continued his procession with a 114 checkout to go 6-2 ahead and two away from the final.
He went one away from there landing double 16 to go on the verge of a meeting with 'The Heat' in the final and from there he concluded the tie to send a message as he aims for back-to-back titles not only in Brisbane but on TV after his World Matchplay victory.
