Rob Cross eased past Warren Parry on the opening day of action at the NZ Darts Masters but for 'Voltage' he is aiming for improvement in the next round.

Cross said this is on scoring mainly and that this needs to go up in the Quarter-Finals in Hamilton. The Hastings ace hit 60 percent on the doubles though so was pleased with that.

'Not impressed, I thought I'd be a bit worse there. Doubles were good tonight and they sort of bailed me. My scoring needs to go up, I don't think I hit one 180 tonight so pretty useless,' said Cross.
