Saturday's action continues at the Baltic Sea Darts Open with Joe Cullen, Dimitri van den Bergh and Dave Chisnall prevailing as seeded players through to the final day.
Cullen saw off Arron Monk in a thrilling clash as he sealed a 6-4 win over the resurgent former World Youth Champion with a 12-darter to claim the win. This in a tie which featured 11 maximums between the pair.
Going 4-2 up initially, Monk came back for parity at 4-4 with an 11-darter in the form of a 48 checkout but after missing a dart at 78, Monk was royally punished as Cullen went one away and broke in the decider with a 140, 180, 135 and 46 checkout for a 12 darter. Superb from 'The Rockstar'.
While Van den Bergh and Chisnall saw off Ritchie Edhouse and Lewy Williams respectively to claim their spots in the Last 1`6. For the Belgian, he produced a 97.7 average to move through 6-3.
While Chisnall was clinical with a 6-2 win hitting four 180's and a 100.7 average to defeat Williams who admitted to massive respect for the St Helens ace and it seems he'd rather want a spelling competition as the Welshman goes home.
