Cullen produces brilliant comeback to see off Williams at PDC World Darts Championship

Joe Cullen is through to the third round at the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship after twice coming from a set behind to edge out Jim Williams 3-2.

Cullen produced eight 180's and a 97 average en route and 'The Rockstar' will now return after Christmas.

Williams stormed through the opening set with ease in a dream start claiming it in consecutive legs while averaging 100.2.

Cullen replied by sweeping the second set himself with three unanswered legs with both averaging 95. Williams took out the third set to regain the upperhand with a 119 checkout to seal the third set 3-1.

It was a prolific fourth set from Cullen who smashed through 3-0 to force a decider. He picked out double eight form there to go one away before he pinned double four.
