Joe Cullen is through to a maiden European Tour final after seeing off James Wade 7-5 at the European Darts Matchplay in Mannheim.
Cullen has reached the latter stages multiple times in
European Tour events but has never fully gone all the way and he will have a chance shortly of winning his first title.
He will have Michael van Gerwen in his way though but due to his performance against 'The Machine', there is every chance we could see another first time winner.
This is due to him hitting a 103.7 average, four 180's and 70 percent on the doubles in what was a superb display from the Bradford ace.
It was very much close all the way with it ending up at 5-5 with Cullen hitting a showpiece 158 checkout en route. Another late surge though from him gave him the victory and now shortly the champion will be crowned.
