The second semi-final is set at the
New South Wales Darts Masters with
Joe Cullen and
Jonny Clayton - the two invitees added to the PDC lineup down under set to battle for a potential maiden World Series crown.
Cullen surged past home hero Simon Whitlock to book his spot. It is a second successive semi-final in Australia for the Rockstar who won through 6-2 in this instance.
This with an 89 average, three 180’s despite only hitting 6/20 of his doubling attempts with Whitlock sat on 2/10 in defeat.
While in an entertaining clash, Jonny Clayton surged part Michael Smith 6-4 concluding it with a 136 checkout with ‘Bully Boy’ ready to send it to a decider.
Smith went 2-0 up but Clayton turned it around to lead 3-2. The holds of throw continued but Clayton went one away and with Smith leaving double 20 to send it to a decider, Clayton produced a blockbuster conclusion.
He hit a 136 to seal it and set up the other semi-final against Cullen with Gerwyn Price set to face James Wade in the opener.
